Pollards Teams up With Leading Contact Lens Supplier

Tuesday, June 21st, 2011

We have so many patients that try contact lenses then say, “I should have tried these years ago!” and “What, is it already on my eye?!” (see our website for video testimonials). The main reason is fear of the unknown— interestingly, the UK has the least amount of contact lens wearers in the EU. So we have teamed up with CibaVision & chosen July as the month of The Big Fit! Which means we are encouraging all of you to try contact lenses—and if you do want to try them, you get a FREE eye test & FREE contact lenses to take away!

We now stock many new technology contact lenses, particularly for dry eyes and also the latest varifocal contact lenses – so if you’ve tried them before and not got on with them, it’s worth giving us a call and trying them again.

Many of our patients are now happily wearing contact lenses for shopping, eating out and special occasions, whereas others have replaced their glasses altogether with contact lenses that you can sleep in!

Mrs Hallam had been wearing glasses for years – when we suggested she tried contact lenses she was very apprehensive, but  decided to give them a go. This is what Mrs Hallam said 1 month after her initial trial:

On Monday 28th March, the Pollards team attended the Sightcare conference at the Hilton in Birmingham. The day was packed with lectures by practice owners, contact lens companies & business coaches. We were given ideas about how to make our business stand out from the crowd and make our patients have a wonderful experience choosing gl…asses!

It looks beautiful – but it affects business!

During the snow, we are open, but running on minimal staff & disrupted deliveries, so please be patient with us if your glasses exceed the date you were given for collection.

We hope to be running a normal efficient service as soon as we can!
